Lonnie L. Amico, M.D.
Dr. Lonnie Amico received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School. He completed his internship at Northwestern University and went on to complete his neurology residency and research fellowship in neuropathology at the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. He is certified in vascular neurology and neurosonology by the American Society of Neuroimaging. Dr. Amico has special interests in the treatment of stroke diagnostics, quantitative EEG, and epilepsy evaluation, dizziness and balance training.
Dr. Amico maintains memberships in numerous professional societies including the American Academy of Neurology, the Stroke Council of the American Heart Association, the American Society of Neuroimaging, the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society, the American Association of Neuropathology and the American Epilepsy Society.
Dr. Amico is a Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Illinois (Stroke Institute) and Adjunct Staff at The Cleveland Clinic in Epilepsy. He serves as Medical Director and as Director of the Balance/Dizziness Center at The Neurological Institute and Specialty Centers.
