Richard L. Cristea, M.D.
Dr. Cristea received his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School in North Chicago, Illinois. He served his internal medicine internship and residency at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center and his neurology residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) with added qualification in clinical neurophysiology. He has received additional board certifications from the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Society of Neurorehabilitation.
Dr. Cristea is the Director of Electromyography and the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Clinic at the Neurological Institute and Specialty Centers. He belongs to many professional societies including the American Academy of Neurology, the Stroke Council of the American Heart Association, the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the American Society of Neurorehabilitation, and the National Headache Foundation.
Dr. Cristea is dedicated to advancing the field of neurology by publishing articles in his field and presenting research at international neurological meetings. He serves as Director of the Fibromyalgia Center at The Neurological Institute and Specialty Centers.
